I GOTTA HAVE COOKIES



On these cold winter days you may just feel like baking a treat, and why not! This recipe is a great before or after workout fuel as well! You can buy your protein powder at your local market in the health food section. I like to use EAS brand vanilla that I can pick up at my local Albertson's chain store. I also have Optimum Nutrition Apple Pie and Eggnog protein powder which adds a seasonal flare to the baked goodness! There are so many different possibilities with these cookies, using some cocoa powder and chocolate protein can add a rich brownie YUMMINESS!



1 egg
1/4c. applesauce, unsweetened
1tsp vanilla extract
2 cups quick oats
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Mix wet ingredients in small bowl. Mix dry ingredients in medium bowl. Add wet to dry. It is a sticky wet dough. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet or non-stick cookie sheet. Makes 20 cookies. Bake 20-25 minutes at 375 degrees
